Rodeo Houston brings out thousands every year to enjoy and celebrate the festivities of being a Texan. Barbecue cook-off, carnival, rodeo competitions, livestock auctions, art auctions and the other dizzying array of activities, but its concerts get some of the most attention.

CARDI B was the headliner for Black Heritage Night and the show was like no other! The “I Like It Like That” rapper performed for the biggest paid rodeo/concert crowd ever, and she did it while sick. The show drew 75,580, breaking the all-time paid attendance record and beating country icon Garth Brooks by three people.

Which isn’t a surprise, CARDI’s hard work is praised without a doubt. Last month she was the first female artist to win a Grammy for best rap album. Cardi B performed all of her hits from her album Invasion Of Privacy and surprised the crowd “Please Me” her new joint with Bruno Mars. This concert was definitely a night to remember. So much that the Mayor of Houston, Sylvester Turner, recognized Cardi B for making history. She was honored with her own day , March 1st, Cardi B Day.
