Who is FHB you may ask?

The mysterious masked singer has the talent, moves, and fashion all wrapped up with a bow on it. FHB’s identity is concealed from the world so the focus is purely on fashion line, FHB Fashion, and music. No race, age, gender or sex, FHB is all- inclusive and doesn’t believe in labels or subject to them. With all in favor, FHB’s flare is on another level. I seen FHB shut down a venue, walked through The Travis Scott Experience in downtown LA back in December and put everyone on pause. FHB stepped out the car and all eyes were on the masked singer. I could hear fans asking for selfies and autographs as she approached the door to walk in. It was pretty dope.

FHB wore a black latex tube dress and a beautiful green fur with the sexiest pair of tie-up heels. No one knows who is behind the mask but everyone at the Globe Theatre that night showed love. Recently, I had the pleasure of catching up with FHB to get the scoop on her mysterious style and new music.

Nosey Nay: What does FHB stand for?

FHB: So there are very few things I don’t talk about for obvious reasons. I don’t show my face, people don’t know my identity per say. And that is one of those things. There’s a reason behind it and I’m not disclosing what those three letters stand for right now.

N.N.: Have you always foreseen yourself as a super-star?

FHB: Yes. I always knew I was special. When I hit the stage something just takes over me, something I was always told can’t be taught. Once I started singing and dancing competitively I was getting acknowledged right and left so I knew that there was something special about me.

N.N.: What is it like being FHB?

FHB.: It’s surreal. When I step out I don’t pay attention to the eyes and reactions. I live in my own zone.

N.N.: What is inspiring you to continue to go so strong in your career?

FHB: I’m inspired by different things everyday. I keep my head right and I surround myself with the right people. I stay focused, grind everyday, and find inspiration in everything.

N.N.: You’re an amazing dancer and extraordinary singer, how much do you practice in a week?

FHB: I’m always practicing. I’m either singing, creating, in the studio writing. It’s an everyday thing. From the moment I wake up to when I go to sleep. No downtime, just “go, go, go,”.

N.N.: If we were to look at you’re playlist, who would we find in your mix?

FHB: I’m really into Post Malone right now. His melodies are crazy! I’ve always liked Nicki Minaj. She’s an ARTIST! I’m really focused on my own music right now. I’m working on finishing my EP that I want to put out soon.

Nosey Nay: When can we expect your music to drop this year?

FHB: I have plans on dropping my new single in April. Then following up with the EP in the middle of the year.

N.N.: When did you create FHB Fashion?

FHB: It’s about a year old now. I really wanted to create a store where people could go and get a sense of my style. I was always asked “where did you get this, where did you get that?”. Every single item on the site is hand selected by me and gives an idea of who I am. It’s all affordable and makes you feel sexy in your own way.

N.N.: Are all your masks handcrafted/handmade?

FHB: I would say that 80% is handcrafted and made by me. Sometimes I may spend up to 24 to 26 hours making one piece. It depends on the piece. Sometimes I work with other designers. We’ll sit down, sketch out a concept, and create it.

N.N.: What’s your inspiration for your masks?

FHB: I’m always finding inspiration. I wear a mask everyday. It’s a statement for me. It has to match my outfit. My fashion style as a whole actually is based off of my mood and what I’m feeling. I’m constantly looking for new ways to express my look. All crazy concepts, there is no limit on my creativity. I just have fun with it.

N.N.: When you signed with Sony Music Entertainment, what were you feeling when you received your deal?

FHB: It was surreal. I’m signed to a major record label. Like... did this just happen? Plus, they signed me without seeing my face supporting my movement which meant the world to me. However, it just has to be the right fit and it wasn’t. Luckily I have someone on my team like Screw who was able to get me out of the deal free & clear with my masters in hand! And at the moment we’re exploring multiple offers & taking our time finding the right fit.

N.N.: Name one musical Artist that you could see yourself doing music with?

FHB: Uhh, there’s a lot. I’ve always loved Nicki Minaj. I think our two worlds would collide so well together. Especially with her swag and enthusiasm in her music, we would make a great collaboration. Missy Elliott is another. I could go on for days but I’ll stop at those two (laughs).

N.N.: How would you describe your genre of music?

FHB: It has live instrumentation, it’s exciting, it’s fresh and youthful. It’s FHB

N.N.: Any advice for the young upcoming artists who look up to you?

FHB: Believe in yourself. You can literally do whatever you put your mind to. And I know it sounds cliche’, but I’m saying as being a person who wears a mask today, where everything is over exposed on social media. I’m going against the grain and I’ve learned that obstacles will come your way but don’t worry about them. You’ll be able to grow and understand through those challenges. Believe and just keep pushing.
